I wrote this paper for adult psychopathology; we had to choose a theory and relate it to a current or recent event. This paper allowed me to analyze a moment I witnessed in real time during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was interested in why something as simple as wearing a mask became so controversial, and how psychological theory could explain that reaction.
