I chose to rewrite the research paper as a memoir of my own experiences especially since I was going through so much of what I was writing. I had my feeding tube placed my senior year while I was writing this paper. A lot of the events I talk about in this memoir were happening while I was writing the orignal piece. I wanted to write from the other perspective of the treatments.
